General Questions
I'm new to Inversion. Are there any contradictions?
With inversion always go slow and easy. First timers may start in pelvic traction with the neck and shoulders completely on the floor. Start with a few seconds to few minutes, then gradually with each day slowly increase the angle to invert higher (and at a more vertical degree) to your level of comfort.
The Inversion Slant Board is also available for sale for those that prefer a more comfortable inversion experience or who like to hang for longer periods of time. See Inversion Slant Board here.
Those who suffer from eye diseases (eg. glaucoma, detached retina, conjunctivitis, etc.), high or very low blood pressure, easy onset vertigo, recent head injury, middle ear infection, recent surgery (eyes, back or hips), sinusitis or head cold, hiatial hernia, ventral hernia, disc hernia, acute degenerative disc disease, spinal nerve root inflammation, cerebral sclerosis, a recent stroke, history of congestive heart failure, history of space-occupying brain lesion, propensity for fainting, those who use anti-coagulants, botox injections within 24 hours and pregnant women should consult a Physician before attempting any inversions.
How do I make an international order?
For all other Charges such as UPGRADES & INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Since every country has different shipping fees it is not feasible to list every country's charges separately. PLEASE EMAIL OR CALL US FIRST to receive your country's particular shipping quote. Once you have your quote you may pay for any extra shipping (or any other charges not covered by a purchase link) to your order by following the instructions below.
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:
1) CONTACT US FIRST: If you live outside the USA, before purchasing please email us for shipping charges to your country at info@Yogaswing.com or call 530-332-9642 for your particular shipping quote
2) ORDER: Once you know your particular shipping quote then go ahead and purchase your preferred Swing Model or other package via our Shopping Cart using the specific product pages.
3) PAY EXTRA CHARGES: You can pay the slight increase in shipping charges, upgrades or other charges not covered by our purchase links in any one of 4 ways:
- Pay to my www.Paypal.com account of info@Yogaswing.com

- Send check or money order made payable to Omni-Swing, LLC; PO Box 3386; Chico, CA 95927 (will increase Estimated Time of Arrival for your order)
- Use the 'UPGRADES, INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING & OTHER CHARGES 'Add to Cart' link by following these instructions:
- ADD TO CART: Click on the 'Add to Cart' below to add your quoted International Shipping Charges in increments of $5 to Cart (minus the automatic shipping charges that are applied with your order - be sure to check how much shipping is charged for the product(s) ordered).
- Each unit equals $5 so simply increase the 'Quantity' of $5 units until you have the proper charge (rounded off to the nearest unit multiple of 5). EXAMPLE: if you owe an extra $82 in shipping for example to Australia then purchase sixteen '$5' units of extra charges (16 x 5 = $80). If you owe $49 then insert the number 10 into the 'quantity' box (10 x $5 is $50).
4) SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Please make sure to specify your preferred COLOR choice of swing & stand, correct shipping address, and any other special instructions when ordering
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: ADDITIONAL CHARGES AND IMPORT FEES MAY APPLY. PLEASE CHECK YOUR INDIVIDUAL COUNTY'S RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR MORE DETAILS.

Difference between your product and others on the market?
Many customers ask what the difference is between our swings - the Omni-Swing, Omni-Gym and YogaSwing - and others found on the market.
First, ours are all ORIGINAL products: the first Yoga Swing prototype was created back in 2001 by Omni-Swing LLC owner, Anthony Cardenas (see Original Cotton YogaSwing) and patented a couple years later. It is the only swing on the market that has gone through constant evolutions and improvements to bring to you today what we call the Omni-Swing and Omni-Gym.
Today there are many Yoga Swing products and brands to choose from, our only goal is to continue selling a superior product and let it be known that all products from Omni-Swing, LLC are ORIGINALS and neither copycats nor infringements of any Yoga Swing patent out there (being as we own them).
Lastly, all other swing models on the market today are all inferior versions of our 2nd Generation YogaSwing - you will not find the Omni-Swing nor the Omni-Gym sold anywhere else.
There are several key differences between the Omni-Gym and all other swings sold on the market. We have eliminated the uncomfortable hard plastic sliders, the funky external nylon adjuster cords, the slippery nylon fabric, and the limiting S-Hooks that all other copycats still use. To learn more about all the newest features in our suspension swing technology, see Omni-Swing and Omni-Gym product pages for a complete description.
What size is the Stand? Does it need to be bolted down?
When assembled, the Rock-It Stand adjusts from a minimum of 7 feet, 9 inches tall to a maximum of 8 feet, 4 inches when using the included height extenders. This allows for the capability to fit under standard 8 foot ceilings and to increase height for those with longer torsos. The circular base has a diameter of 7 feet and the frame is made out of 1.5 inch thick round metal tubing.
When dissembled the longest piece measures 42 inches.
The Stand does not need to be bolted down unless you plan on doing a lot of vigorous swinging back and forth. If this is the case (such as may be with children) securing the stand to the floor or an adjacent wall may be a good idea.
What is the difference between the 'sling' and the 'swing'?
The sling is just the middle hammock section of the entire swing component. It does not come with any handles. The swing is the product in its entirety including the middle hammock section and the handles.
Do I use the trapeze system with or without the daisy chains?
When taking your swing outdoors or attaching to an anchor that IS NOT the Rock-It Stand you can either hang your swing with or without the trapeze system. Depending on the height of your anchor, we highly recommend using your daisy chains to hang the swing, you will have more height adjustment options. We like to attach the trapeze system to TWO daisy chains hung next to each other for extra strength.
You also have the option to NOT USE the trapeze system and hang your swing directly from the daisy chains. You will lose the 360 degree swivel and anti-gravity bounce with this set-up, but when traveling it may be easier to leave the trapeze system at home.
Should I warm up?
Many people like to warm up on the swing, but if you feel that you are not ready for this, please do a complete floor warm-up first. Take care not to overstretch cold muscles.

Some good 5-10 minute warm-up ideas: Vary your warm-up by mixing different moves.
1) Jog for 5 minutes
2) Walk for 5 minutes, gradually increasing speed to a light jog
2) Jump rope
3) Jumping Jacks
4) Head Rolls, shoulder rolls
5) Arm/torso rotations
6) Stretches such as lunges, forward bends, side stretches, butterfly stretch (sitting stretch that works the hips), etc.
Once you get more confident in your body's agility, you can start to do all these warm-ups on the swing - including in inversion!

How do I install my Swing?
Please see page 'Installing Your Swing' for more information on swing installation. If you have any extra questions give us a ring at 1.877.YOGA.GYM or email us at info@yogaswings.com.
What is the Weight Limit?
Up to two people can use the swing at a time, but do not exceed 275 pounds when using the 3-Spring Trapeze System. If you wish to add more weight to the swing, remove the springs.
I am overweight. Can I use the Swing?
YES! We get this question a lot, and we always give the same response. There IS a recommended weight limit of 275lbs while using the 3-Spring Trapeze System. If you wish to add more weight, the swing itself supports up to 300 lbs, just be sure to remove the Trapeze System first. Many people who are overweight usually have back and joint issues. The Swing is an incredible therapeutic device for bad posture, back and neck injuries, weak abs and tight hips. It is also a great tool for weight loss including the option of removing the sling for your very own suspension fitness trainer.
Can I hang my swing in my doorway?
Yes, hanging your swing from a door frame is certainly one option, although not the best one. We advise you check with a licensed carpenter or contractor to make sure the frame in question is structurally adequate and can hold the weight bearing load required for human suspension. Safety is of utmost importance, especially with inversions. If they give it a green light, use two strong six-inch long wood-work eye-bolts that are at least 7/16 inch thick screwed vertically all the way in to the wood. A pull-up bar installed in a doorway would also work, but again check with professionals for the strength and stability of the setup.
A doorway set-up highly restricts much of the movement options for your swing - about an 85% loss of range of motion - but you would still be able to do quite a bit with it there including all therapy and suspension training options.
Another note, the basic swing without the Trapeze System is designed to hang from approximately a 7-foot minimum height. A deluxe swing which contains the trapeze package is designed to hang from a minimum of 8 feet high. Depending on the doorway and swing model, you could lose a lot of height. In the case that in inversions, your head touches the floor, just walk your forearms forward until your head is lifted off of the floor to obtain a working inversion stretch.
Use our over-the-door suspension straps for a portable installation option. Very much like a Yoga Wall, your swing will hang against the door - which you can use as a prop for resistance and stabilization. The set-up is similar to how a TRX might be installed. This option limits possible movements on your swing but is great for quick home use or travel (eg. set-up in a hotel room).

Is it okay to invert during my menstrual cycle?
It is not recommended that women practice inversions while menstruating. It IS recommended that women stay active during their menstrual cycle – moderate exercise is known to ease premenstrual tension and menstrual cramps. So that leaves all other swing options open. Women on their menses would do very well in restorative poses on the swing, starting out low and supported by the swing and foot stir-ups. Be intuitive. Enjoy creating new routines specifically for this time of the month!
Should I wear special clothing to use the Swing?
Clothing to wear
1) Use fitness/exercise clothing you feel comfortable in and that does not have zippers, buttons or attachments that may rip or damage the swing fabric. We do recommend leggings or pants that cover the thighs and T's or long-sleeves that cover the armpits. Do not use shoes on the Swing.
2) If it is cold, do wear something that will keep your muscles warm throughout the workout so as reduce risk of injury. We don't recommend socks unless they have grip on the bottom.
Is it okay to eat before my workout?
1) We recommend waiting 1/2 – 1 hour after a snack and 2-3 hours after a meal before using the swing especially for inversions. This also depends on how much and what you eat.
2) As a general rule try not to eat anything spicy or oily before your routine.
Avoid foods such as coffee or tea, high-acid juices such as OJ, most soups, meat, spicy/oily cuisines such as Chinese or Indian, anything deep or pan fried, oily dressings.
If you must get some alimentation in closer to your practice than you’d like, these are good choices: nuts, pretzels, banana bread, celery, cereal, dates, non-citrus fruit or fruit smoothie, 1/2 bagel, a bit of dark chocolate, sports nutrition bar.
How does your swing compare to other inversion products?
Other inversion devices such as Teeter Hang Up inversion tables and gravity boots, while functionable devices for inversion, are very limited in their scope of possibilities. Firstly, there are only one or two indicated ways to invert on these devices; secondly, they are intended only for inversion. The Omni-Gym and YogaSwing present so many other possibilities in terms of personal fitness and well-being. Strength training, anti-gravity yoga/stretching and sports/dance/gymnastics training are just naming a few. For the price of just the swing itself, you get so much more bang for your buck.
Do you offer workshops/teacher trainings?
Our first workshop is planned to take place early next year 2012 in Northern California. Join our mailing list to know exactly when, where, how and with who!
We'd love to have you :)
Storage & Travel
If you own the Trapeze System and/or Stand, keep them out of the rain and rooms with lots of humidity. They will oxidize over time if exposed to extreme weather conditions.
Do not leave your swing out in extreme weather conditions. Be sure to use the swing’s “backpack” that it came with for storage or travel. You will be able to extend the life of your swing for many more years to come!
How do I wash my Swing?
Hand wash all swing fabrics in cold water and gentle detergent. Lay out to dry – preferably not in the sun for more than a day or bleaching could occur. Do not bleach.
